An individual has been arrested with 83,000 litres of illicit toddy at a distillery in Aluthgama today (Oct 15).
The arrest had been made during a raid carried out by the Special Task Force.
Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said that the seized toddy is to be sent to the Government Analyt's Department for testing.
The suspect, a 53-year old resident of Aluthgama, is to be handed over to Excise officials in the area.
