A 46 year old person who was traveling in a three-wheeler, shot dead by two armed motorcyclists in Meegaspitiya, Galle today, Police said.
The police said investigations are underway to identify the gunman who was the pillion rider of a motorcycle. The victim's body was handed over to the Balapitiya Base Hospital.
A short while later, the official car of the Commander of the Navy, bearing plate NAHA 5006, departed from Navy House, Longdon Place, Colombo 7.
