Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa declared open the Ombudsman's Unit at the Opposition Leader's office yesterday (Jun 3).
The public will be able to provide information on those who are facing hardships due to the government's negligence as well as incidents of political victimisation.
Complaints could be submitted orally or in writing to an opposition parliamentarian who will be designated to this unit.
The Ombudsman's Unit was declared open at No 30, Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha yesterday.
Parliamentarians Dinesh Gunawardena, Gamini Lokuge, Susil Premajayantha, and Bandula Gunawardena took part in the opening ceremony.
