Opposition Leader admitted to hospital

Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan has been admitted to a private hospital due to a sudden illness. Mr Sampanthan had reportedly fallen ill in Trincomalee yesterday while overseeing the election campaign of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA). 

His condition is not said to be serious and he is now recovering.
