The owner of the five storied house in Sangamitta Mawatha, Bhuwelikada, Kandy, that collapsed killing a young family, has been further remanded till October 27.
Kandy Additional Magistrate Sampath Gamage ordered the further remanding of the suspect, Anura Lewke, a former Basnayake Nilame.
All lawyers of the Kandy Bar Association along with Presidential Counsel Saliya Peiris represented the deceased victims, two months old baby Onela and her parents, 32-year-old Achala who was a lawyer by profession and 35-year-old Chamila Prasad.
The Magistrate ordered an investigation into how a five storied house was built when approval was given only for two stories.
