The People's Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) has said that yesterday's Supreme Court verdict was a strong reminder to all those functioning in Executive and administrative postions to abide by the constitution.
Issuing a press release, the PAFFREL, while saying that it welcomes the verdict issued by the Supreme Court also said that yesterday's Supreme Court verdict was a reminder to the people to uphold the constitution at all times.
It further noted that this reminder was further strengthened by the unanimous decision of the judge bench.
The release went on to urge the leaders of all political parties to resolve the current impasse through an intellectual dialogue while leaving aside their struggle for power.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
The Presidents’ Entitlements (Repeal) Bill was passed by a majority of 150 in parliament today. However the opposition MP’s were absent during the voting.
