Parliament debates Expenditure Heads of PM's Ministries

News

The Expenditure Heads of the Ministry of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement and Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development, Vocational Training and Skill Development and Youth Affairs are being taken up for debate in Parliament today (14).

All of these subjects come under the purview of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The debate will continue for 8 1/2 hours from 10.00am to 7.00pm with a half hour break for lunch. Today is the second day of the Committee Stage Debate of Budget 2019.

Yesterday, 22 Heads of Expenditure, including those of the President and the Office of the Prime Minister were unanimously passed without a vote.
