JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that his party has lived upto its promise given on October 26 to defeat the political conspiracy.
Addressing a media briefing a short while ago, MP Dissanayake noted that the new government could not obtain a majority despite creating a conspiracy.
He also stated that the JVP brought up this no-confidence motion since the appointment of Mahinda Rajapaksa and this government was illegitimate.
Commenting on the decision of Speaker Karu Jaysuriya's decision to suspend standing orders during today's parliamentary session, the JVP leader said that the Parliament has every right to suspend standing orders and take up the matter.
