Parliament suspended following microphone malfunction

Parliamentary proceedings have been suspended by the Speaker till tomorrow morning following the malfunction of the microphone system in Parliament today. 

The malfunction occurred shortly after sittings commenced this afternoon. 

A debate on the motion of no-confidence against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake was also due to be taken up today. The debate will now be held tomorrow.
