The thero made this remark while addressing a press briefing at the Narahenpitiya Abhayaramaya temple today (Jan 10).
He also raised a question on why Gnanasara Thero could not be released while Vijayakala Maheswaran, who had made remarks against the country, could be given a State Ministerial portfolio.
Ananda Thero had also said that he would resort to harsh action if the President respond positively to his demands.
