Pistol used in Hanwella shooting recovered
A pistol and its magazine believed to have been used in the shooting of two underworld criminals have been recovered in Dedigamuwa yesterday (Sept 17).
Police said that the foreign manufactured weapon had been used in the shooting of Vajira Kumara and Suresh Ravantha alias Rawatte alias 'Chooti Malli in Hanwella this week.
Four persons had been arrested in connection with the incident yesterday.
The incident is believed to have been manipulated by underworld leader Melan Mabula alias 'Urujuwa' who is in prison, through a telephone call.
