Piyal Pushpakumara Rajapaksha who was detained after being deported from Dubai was released yesterday (Apr 18), police said.
Rajapaksha was arrested along with 30 others including underworld leaders in Dubai on February 04 before being deported to Sri Lanka last morning.
He was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for questioning at the Bandaranaike International airport.
The deportee has been identified as a 50-year old resident of Aramya Road, Dematagoda.
