Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has lauded STF Commandant DIG M.R. Latiff and his team over the measures taken to apprehend suspects involved in the usage of narcotics and drug-related offences.
In a letter dated yesterday (Feb 07), the Prime Minister said that the recent operations carried out by STF personnel to arrest suspects in a bid to curb the usage of narcotics and drug-related offences was one of the recent achievements of the STF.
While respecting the brave efforts taken by the personnel to apprehend such individuals, Mr. Wickremesinghe emphasised that they were an asset to the Police Department.
Further, Prime Minister Wickremesinghe praised the efforts of STF personnel involved in the raids.
