Leader of the House Dinesh Gunawardena at a UPFA press briefing shorty after Parliament was suspended, said the no confidence motion against Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the government was not passed legally.
He added that PM Rajapksa will contiune to hold the position of Prime Minister .
Also addressing the briefing, Parliamentarian Nimal Siripala De Silva said the No Confidence Motion was not on the Parliamentary agenda. The order of business for today's session was to only read the procolomation by the President and then for the house to be adjourned.
