Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has reiterated his appeal to the public to "remain calm" and not to be "swayed" by false information.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, the Prime Minister pointed out that the burden on security forces keeps increasing due to the sporadic breakouts of civil unrest in the country.
"Each time there is civil unrest, we increase their burden and hamper ongoing investigations," Mr. Wickremesinghe said in his tweet. He observed that security forces are working tirelessly to apprehend the terrorists and ensure the security of the country.

The Prime Minister's message comes in the wake of two incidents of civil unrest which took place in Chilaw and Kuliyapitiya last night where Police curfew was imposed till the early hours of this morning and thereafter lifted.
