Police act on social media report on cruelty towards dog

News

A man has been arrested in the Kalawana area on allegations of beating up a dog after the video of it was circulated on social media, Police said.

The Police legal division initiated the action after complaints that the Kalwana police had failed to take necessary action.

The suspect was to be produced before the magistrate today.
