A special police operation conducted throughout the Western Province resulted in the arrest of 47 foreign nationals who had been overstaying their visas, police stated.
They were among nearly 1500 suspects taken into custody during the special police operation.
According to police, a total of 1481 suspects were taken into custody during the operation. Aside from the 47 foreigners who were arrested for overstaying their visas, other suspects who were arrested include 514 who were linked to drug offences while 326 others had warrants out for their arrest.
