Police have arrested an individual who is allged to have aided and abetted the shooting at the Kudawelle harbour on December 25, last year.
The suspect has been identified as a 31-year old by the name of H.K. Randika Sampath and a resident of Nakulugama.
He will be produced before the Tangalle Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Tangalle police officers yesterday (Jan 21) recovered two helmets and a motorcyle (without a number plate) that had allegedly been used in the shooting.
The helmets will be sent to the Government Analysts Department by the CID in due course.
