Police arrested an individual suspected of carrying out a shooting in Kandana last Sunday which resulted in the death of a woman aged 40.
The police managed to arrest the suspect through a CCTV footage.
The suspect has been identified as Mohamed Rakeem alias 'Preethi' and a resident of Gal Oya.
The car which was used in the shooting was also taken into custody by the Police.
