Police have sought legal advise to move court against Madhumadhawa Aravinda, Deputy Leader of the Pivithutu Hela Urumaya (PHU) for failing to adhere to the instructions to report before the Minuwangoda police yesterday (May 19).
Aravinda was instructed to be present before the Police to record a statement after he was spotted during the recent unrest in the Minuwangoda area last week.
According to the Mahabage Police, the message instructing the PHU Deputy Leader to appear before the Police, had been given to his mother at his Mahabage residence.
This is because he was not present at home when Police had visited his residence to issue the instructions, Mahabage Police told Minuwangoda Police.
Minuwangoda Police are seeking legal advise in order to file a case against Aravinda in this regard.
