Mannar police have discovered a stock of explosives in the garden of a resident in Oluthuduvai, Mannar today (Apr 22).
The resident upon discovering the explosives in his garden had informed the Police following which measures were taken to seize the explosives.
A can measuring 20 litres in volume containing explosive material had been confiscated by the police and was disposed by the Special Task Force's Bomb Disposal Unit upon directives from the Mannar Magistrates Court.
Mannar Police are investigating further into the incident.
