Police have discovered two claymore mines in Jaffna, each weighing 15 kilograms upon questioning of a former LTTE cadre who was arrested last week.
The former LTTE cadre, had been arrested in Seru Nuwara, Trincomalee, after which his wife and sister had been arrested with explosives and ammunition at his residence in Kilinochchi.
Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said that the claymore mines had been buried behind a land area in Kondavil, Jaffna.
The suspects are being questioned by the Terrorist Investigation Division.
