A Police Inspector has died in a road accident in Borelesgamuwa around 12:45 today while travelling with his family.
The Inspector was identified as Gamage Ajantha Gamini (51) an officer at the Bambalapitiya Police Field Force Headquarters. The inspectorś vehicle collided with a vehicle which came from the opposite direction.
The Police inspector´s wife and his 21-year old son who sustained injuries in the accident were admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for treatment. His 5-year-old son has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
Further, it was reported that a female doctor was involved in this accident and has been remanded till October 09.
