Police investigate reported slain Lankan ISIS member
Investigations underway regarding a reported slain ISIS militant alleged to be a Sri Lankan. The IGP has instructed Central Province Police authorities to carry out investigations.
Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera was quoted as telling the media yesterday that the police were carrying out investigations to ascertain the truth to the story.
Media reports claimed that the militant was known in the organization as Abu Shuraih Sailani. He was reportedly a former Sri Lankan Karate instructor and a principal of an international school.
