Police probe suspicious death of woman in Galewela
Police have launched an investigation into the suspicious death of a woman who had been residing alone in Galewela, Matara yesterday (Oct 23).
The woman's daughter who had arrived to visit her, had reported the incident to the Police.
The remains of the 65-year old have been placed under police custody at the scene of the incident.
A magisterial inquest and an autopsy are to be carried out today.
