Police have launched a probe into an unidentified body which had been recovered near the Kelani river in Peliyagoda yesterday (Aug 20).
The body is believed to be of a 50-year old man who is about five feet in height.
Police said that the body is currently at the police mortuary in Colombo.
The Deputy Director of the Colombo National Hospital, Dr Rukshan Bellana today declared that he was prepared to face any disciplinary inquiry over the comments he made regarding the medical condition of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
