Police refute claims of Yatiyanthota brawl linked to post-election violence
The Police have refuted social media reports linking an assault in the Yatiyanthota area yesterday (Nov 18) to post-election violence.
Issuing a statement, police clarified that the incident which has been falsely interpreted, was a brawl between two drunk individuals which left one injured.
It said that its Emergency Unit is probing the incident.
