Police yesterday seized a small aircraft hidden in a storage facility at the Narahenpita Economic Centre.
The Narahenpita Police discovered the aircraft, following a tip-off that certain persons were attempting to make off with it.
The dilapidated aeroplane is a two-seater and the Narahenpita Police are conducting further investigations.
Ishara Sewwandi, the main suspect wanted for the shooting inside the Aluthkade No.05 Magistrate’s Court premises which killed alleged underworld figure ’’Ganemulla Sanjeewa,’’ has been arrested in Nepal.
