After polling concluded at yesterday's 2020 parliamentary election, officials engaged in election duties took down all election related material used during the polling and burned them as an extra measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
They took down all election related posters set up to aid voters at polling centres, as well as the polythene covered cardboard covering used for the protection of election officers. All were burned at a designated location.
Pictures show such material being burned at a polling centre in Puttalam after the conclusion of yesterday's poll.
