Popular singer Indrani Wijebandara passed away at the age of 83 at the Colombo General Hospital today (Jun 23).
Indrani was the voice behind several popular songs including Gaya Geethayan, Olu Nelum, Sal sapu Mal, Nilmini Dase, and Sujatha.
She is the wife of veteran singer Sisira Senaratne. They were famous for their albums which they had produced together since the 1960's.
Sisira Senaratne had passed away in 2015.
