Possibility of evening thundershowers high : Met. Dept.
The Meteorological Department says that the possibility of experiencing thundershowers are high in many parts of the country in the evenings.
Issuing a weather forecast, the Department said that showers or thundershowers will occur across most parts of the island after 2 pm.
Fairly heavy falls about 75 mm are likely in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-central and Uva provinces and in Vavuniya and Mullaitivu districts, the forecast read.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
