A special hotline '1984' has been launched by President Maithripala Sirisena to facilitate informants in providing tip-off on narcotics and organised crimes.
President Sirisena made this announcement while attending the opening ceremony of the Drug Prevention Week at the Vidyananda College in Mullaitivu.
The Drug Prevention Week which commences today will end on January 28.
