President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has requested to refrain from extending invitations for prize givings, weddings and parties as he wants to spend more time focusing on development work and resolving public issues.
A statement from the Presidential Secretariat said that he appreciates the bonding of the public by extending invitations for events which are of importance of their lives.
