President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe have lauded the efforts of the Sri Lankan cricket team following their thrilling win against South Africa earlier today (Feb 16).
President Sirisena in his tweet had termed the win as "a victory from the jaws of defeat" while extending his congratulatory wishes to Kusal Janith Perera who spearheaded the win.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also lauded the victory and the "great spirit" shown by Kusal Perera and all the youngsters in the team.
