President to address rally in Anuradhapura

The first political local government election rally will be held this afternoon at the Anuradhapura Salgado Ground with President Maithripala Sirisena in the chair. Cabinet Ministers and SLFP Parliamentarians will participate.

The President will pay a visit to Atamasthanadhipathi Ven.Pallegama Siri Nivasa Nayaka Thera and the Maha Sanga at the Udamaluwa Temple to participate in religious rituals. The President will open the newly constructed water purification plant at Pandulagama at 12. The rally will follow thereafter.
