President Maithripala Sirisena today (Aug 31) urged politicians and state officials to work unitedly without engaging in disputes, in order to build the country.
Addressing a religious event in Kantale, the President cited the improvisation of the agriculture industry as a means of developing the country in future.
Accordingly, he had said that plans should be made and implemented to overcome weather and climate related challenges faced in the island.
Mr. Sirisena had also said that the renovation of more than 100 tanks would be completed in Trincomalee within the next two months to resolve irrigation issues faced by farmers in the district.
