President Maithripala Sirisena has confirmed that a presidential elections will be held this year.
However, he also hinted at the possibility of a general elections being held before presidential polls.
Mr. Sirisena made these remarks while addressing a meeting that is being held with the heads of media institutions at the Presidential Secretariat.
