President's former Chief of Staff and ex-STC Chairman further remanded

President's former Chief of Staff, I.H.K. Mahanama and former Chairman of the State Timber Corporation (STC), P. Dissanayake were today (24) further remanded till August 7 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate. 

The two suspects were further remanded after the magistrat rejected their bail application. 

They have been in remand cutsody after being arrested by the Bribery Commission for allegedly soliciting a bribe of Rs 20 million from an Indian businessman.
