The curfew currently in effect in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna will continue until further notice, the Presidential Secretariat said, adding that these areas continue to be designated as danger zones for the spread of the Coronavirus.
Curfew in all other districts will be lifted at 6.00am tomorrow (9) and reimposed at 4.00pm the same day. The curfew for these districts will continue till Tuesday, April 14, where it will again be lifted at 6.00am and reimposed at 4.00pm.
Noting that the curfew and other measures have been taken to ensure the wellbeing of the public, the President's Office has again asked people to behave responsibly. It further urges people to limit upcoming New Year traditions and interactions to family members only.
Travel between districts continue to be prohibited except for those from essential services.
