Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe left Maldives following his official visit to the South Asian island which began on September 2.
During the visit, Sri Lanka had signed an agreement with Maldives on visa arrangements along with Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)’s on social protection, vocational training and youth development, and Higher education.
Mr. Wickremesinghe also addressed the Maldivian Parliament and chaired the Indian Ocean Conference which was held yesterday.
Ministers Rauff Hakeem, Vajira Abeywardena, and Daya Gamage, and Prime Minister's Secretary Saman Ekanayake were also part of the delegation which accompanied the Prime Minister and his wife Maithree Wickremesinghe.

A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
