Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is due to make a special statement in Parliament today (Dec14), the government news portal reported.
The statement will be with regard to discussions held with representatives of trade unions. A release from the Prime Minister's Office said the government’s stance over demands of trade unions will be explained.
The Premier met with trade union representatives on Saturday (12) and Sunday (13) to discuss concerns pertaining to the 2016 Appropriation Bill.
