Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is to make a special statement in Parliament today over the controversial statement made by State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran pertaining to the LTTE.
The Office of the Prime Minister said Premier Wickremesinghe will inform parliament over the measures to be taken by the party against the State Minister over her statement.
Meanwhile, State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran is also scheduled to make a statement in parliament today. According to media report she is due make her clarification on the statement before the House.
Meanwhile, the United National Party has summoned State Minister Vijayakala Maheswaran for a disciplinary hearing over her recent controversial statement on the resurgence of the LTTE.
