The Principal of a leading national girls school in Galle has been arrested for solicting a bribe of Rs 100,000 while enrolling a Grade 1 One student to the school.
The arrest was made by officials of the Bribery and Corruption Commission while the Principal was accepting the bribe from the mother of the child.
The suspect has now been handed over to the Galle Police for further investigations.
