Principals of schools which have not received textbooks for the next academic year have been advised to contact the Educational Publications Department immediately.
Text books have been distributed among schools in which more than 1500 students have been enrolled, Education Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said.
However, he conceded that there could be delays in distributing the books among schools which have fewer students.
All schools will re-open for their first terms on January 2, 2020.
