An inmate at the Magazine Prison was apprehended by prison officials yesterday (Dec 21) over the possession of 4.6 grams of heroin.
The suspect has been identified as Mohamed Faizer, a 32 -year old resident of Grandpass.
Prison officials took immediate measures to produce the suspect before the Borella Police.
The inmate will be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrates Court today.
Meanwhile, Borella police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
