Prison Superintendent of Angunukolapelessa prison transferred after inmates protest
The Prison Superintendent (PS) of the Angunukolapelessa prison has been transferred following a discussion held between the inmates and officials of the Prison's Department.
The inmates who began a protest yesterday had vehemently opposed the Prison Superintendent citing his acts of demeaning inmates as the reason.
Accordingly, the Prison Superintendent of the Matara Prison, W.D.C Karunasekara has been appointed as the PS of the Angunukolapelessa prison
