A private bank was robbed by two armed men wearing full-faced helmets this afternoon, police said. The robbery took place at Attidiya around 1.45pm today when the armed robbers had arrived by motorcycle, fired around 3 shots and made off with around Rs 1 million in cash. The security guard at the private bank was wounded in the incident and has been admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital.
