Private buses operating from Negombo have commenced a strike action in support Ven Athuraliye Rathana Thera's hunger strike which is in its fourth day today (June 03).
It is reported that three-wheelers operating in the Meegamuwa area have also joined the strike thereby inconveniencing area residents in terms of transport.
Parliamentarian Rathana Thera is staging a fast-unto-death campaign demanding the removal of Minister Rishad Bathiudeen along with Governors Azath Salley and M.L.A.M. Hizbullah.
