A private passenger plane which was airborn for three hours was forced to make an emergency landing at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) today (Mar 01).
The airplane which had taken off at around 9:42 am for Hong Kong from the BIA had returned to the airport at around 12:40 following a technical failure in one of its tyres.
Two pilots and 11 passengers were on board the aircraft at the time of the incident.
