The cremation of Priyantha Sirisena, 43, took place at the Public Cemetery, Polonnaruwa on Monday (March 30).
Priyantha also called “Weli Raju,” is a businessman predominantly engaged in sand mining and he is the younger brother of President Maithripala Sirisena.
He was attacked with an axe by a friend on Thursday night following an argument. He was rushed to the Polonnaruwa Hospital and later airlifted to Colombo in a critical condition where he succumbed to injuries.
